What are the IBAN, BIC and SWIFT codes?

The IBAN code refers to the International Bank Account Number that you can use when making international payments.

The BIC code (Bank Identifier Code) quickly and easily identifies the bank. The SWIFT code (or SWIFT BIC) is a code that helps foreign banks identify which bank should receive the money.

The SWIFT code consists of 8 to 11 characters. The first 4 include the bank's name, the next 2 show the international country code, and the last 2 show the city code. If it is an 11-character code, the last 3 will refer to a specific branch of the bank.
